Favorite is a matter of taste but for best i nominate: Harry belafonte, Matt monro, Ella f, and Annie lennox.
For classical: Maria callas, Cecilia bartoli, nicolai gedda, Dietrich fisker dieskau

Rough choice had to decide between Eva C & Ella, so I would say
