I just did a Bridge FW update from 0.2.14b to 0.2.14f via the DAC touch screen. Then I checked it on the Bridge Page and I noticed there is a Wi Fi configuration section that I can’t remember seeing before. Can anyone tell me “What’s it all about?” I wont be able to sleep tonight for the worry!

The intention from PS Audio from the beginning has been to adapt to use a wifi bridge on the LAN port of the Bridge (ref. the PWD menu), but in this particular case I believe it is preparation for the (hopefully) upcoming silent server (running the uPNP server) meaning that the silent server may connect to your LAN wirelessly. This page will give you the wifi settings for this device.
I believe that those settings are for a WiFi dongle that was to plug into the USB port on the Bridge. I think that a few beta test units were shipped out several years ago but it never went into production. Would have been nice, but perhaps it just didn’t work the way that PS Audio wanted it to.

Thanks...it does say SSID: Silent Server along with other things I know nothing about. I will keep an eye out because the SS is something I think I would like.
SSID is your WiFi network name. SSID stands for Service Set Identifier - one of those obscure WiFi netwrking terms. It has nothing to do with the fleeting taunt known as the SilentServer.

J.P. & frode… Do you think the Wi Fi Config. section on the Bridge Page is anything dummies like me need to try and understand? I have not thought about it until now. I thought this section was redundant. :">
There is nothing of interest there at this time. It is a vestige of a plan that has been shelved aad I would say is not likely to come to fruition. I do wonder what happened to the WiFi dongle, but I also see it as a low priority for both development and marketing.
The short answer is no.
