WOW!---->BHK 600s---<

I wanted romance over reality, reality can sometime suck! But I am getting too old for either. :wine_glass: is the only solution.

I rolled a pair of Telefunken NOS 6922 tubes from Upscale Audio into the BHK600s with a noticeable enhancement to the sound. Specifically, the sound feels more three dimensional and natural. Not that the stock tubes are deficient. I was content with the sound from the stock tubes, but could not resist experimenting with other tubes. I’ve not tried any other tubes other than the Telefunken and stock tubes. I’m leaving the tele’s in the amps and keeping the original tubes as backups. Enjoy the experimenting.

Has anyone rolled the rectifier tube, if so, what were the results?

Since this thread is oriented towards the BHK600 amps, I wanted to pose the question about whether anyone has tried upgrading the fuses to any of the audiophile offerings such as SR, etc and what the upgrade provided. There is an extensive thread on upgrading fuses within the various PS Audio power plant offerings, but searching for and finding info on fuse upgrades to the BHK was limited.

In my BHK600 amps, I have AQ Dragon power cables with Telefunken NOS 6933 tubes and now considering whether there is more juice to squeeze from these wonderful amps. With Wilson Sasha V speakers, I have Transparent ICs and speaker cables which seem will matched and voiced for the Wilsons.

Appreciate any input from fellow BHK600 owners.

I’ve tried every manner of SR fuses in BHK amps. Purple being the last.
I have Audio Magic M1 fuses in the BHK 600’s. I prefer these over the SR ones. More neutral.
An AM M2 is available now, and I have them in other components. I did not make the change from M1 to M2 given cost required to change out four fuses, and that the M1 to M2 sonic difference did not warrant it.
