X over restoration. Replace inductors and coils?

I recapped my x overs but kept all other components stock.

Is there a need to replace inductors and coils?

Speakers are Infinity IRS Beta

Electrolytic capacitors do age, and need replacement. Inductors/coils do not. Resistors can increase in value over time, but this is normally associated with marked temperature cycling and humidity. In the environment of a speaker crossover over 20 years it should only be a fraction of a percent; almost certainly less than the tolerances of the resistors used in the first place.

Thanks. And I meant inductors and resistors!

Are these inside the control box or inside the speakers?

I can tell you my experience with my Infinity RS3b’s is when I replaced the inductors in the midrange and bass drivers to pure copper foil inductors, it improved the resolution and speed in those drivers, and when I replaced the resisters in the midrange and tweeter drivers, it also brought more sparkle and air to the sound. The caps were replaced with Mundorfs and VCaps and they also brought more liveness to the sound. Don’t forget about the internal wiring. I repaced those to Cardas wires and that was also a significant improvment to the sound. Like they say in audio, everything matters.

I assume your control box is ok and does not need upgraded parts?
I am asking as my old Infinity Modulus control box and subwoofer are now fully back in my main system.

I believe my servo controller works well but I would like to have it tested and adjusted just to be sure

I am at the point of not wanting to mess with my control box, but if it has to be repaired, you have a place that would do so?
