They are an achievement. Earlier someone mentioned the Veyron. It’s an apt comparison.
By all accounts they are Extreme.

I have five dedicated 20 amp circuits in my listening room. I got the power.
I ordered a pair tonight. I have 30 months to think about it.
Sometime you just gotta say what the blank.
Attaboy !
they always say mbl speakers play with mbl amp
we have a saying
Do not drown in the stream after crossing the sea
The full system my dealer had going last November. A bit neater than at Al’s place.
Mine will have to put up with a pair of Gryphon Apex stereo amps.
I love the MBL amps but I chose a different path before choosing the MBLs.
if you say so;
hiend is such a sport
You are my hero! Can I come over and see the system when it’s ready?
Congratulations on your lifetime achievement!!
As you seem to be a man of more or less spontaneous decisions in high $ areas, 30 months + the phase really using them will be a hard time not to change speakers and amplification
Certainly the question is why change, as both is at the top end. But will no change for so many years be good for you?
Congratulations by all means!
I will have to audition a pair before I give them my stamp of approval.
That make perfect sense.
I spent quite a bit of time at FLAX listening to those MBLs. Granted, it was in a larger hotel conference room - not ideal - but they did a pretty nice job setting it up. Yes, they do sound wonderful, but not perfect. I think any person contemplating owning these should have a fairly large listening room ready, as there seems to be a minimum listening distance you do not want to go under or the image sizing starts getting exaggerated. With a large enough space and something North of $300K (just for the speakers), yeah they can sound pretty good.
You are welcome to drop by any time. My current setup is still mighty good and I am upgrading it dramatically in July. I am sure I can get through this. I have had lots of practice…
YOU DA MAN!
I ordered a hotdog, I said no sausage
Screws. €}$!+#% screws are my next upgrade. Heh. Pale in comparison, but I’m getting very excited.
Thanks!
30 months is a long time in the life of a confessed audiophile.
I wanna come over too, and I’m from Canada…
The Extremes at Kyomi were fresh out of the factory boxes so the room set up in the pictures shown are raw and unfinished. The room will be setup more optimally come Axpona time.
