Everest won’t fit…20” is too tall.
I’ve had a Shunyata 6000T in my second system for a few years. It really enhances what’s plugged into it.
Thought you were going to say “listening room” or “component stand”,
I’ve got the hots for a pair of XA160.8’s but they are going to have to wait for a bit.
Here’s one on US Audio mart tho it’s on the opposite side of the country for you!
Sounds like a back breaker at 200lbs each…! Bet they would be awesome. I just picked up a Int 150. Not in the same class but first 10 is class A. I guess it’s best described as :
INT-150 = an X150.5 power amplifiers, but with multiple inputs and a high-quality volume control.
Also to note- there really is not a pre amp in these which makes it a bad paring with a Jr and most likely a Sr as they seem to have low output voltage. Ask me how I know (lol)
Thanks for the link. I did see that ad via saved search in HiFishark. They are $400 below the cost of new with a trade-in. That gave me some pause. I have been hoping to see another sale like we saw last year.
They just ended the P15 sale. I think if you contact PS Audio directly you might be able to sweet talk a deal for a P20.
I have a set of amp stands designed that have wheels to move them and air bags for isolation. The amps are too heavy for me to move into place without a couple of young strong backs which I can borrow from the shop.It looks like they will make good room heaters too.
Did you get rid of the P20 amp stands?
I still have them in use but I dont think I want to put the XA’s on top of them. The stands I have in mind would straddle the P20.
That sounds like a smart thing… Moveable amp stands. Heck the Int was 70lbs and while I can move it, this old fart cried for help when it came to stairs. I’m kinda done with 275 pound speakers and massive amps. However if I did do monos, your amp stands would be the ticket.
Be cool if you manage to snag those… Wonder if Mark has any? He has an X350 I guess. I had to “pass” on that…lol
Dam you beat me to it
To be fair I am torn between getting a pair of Iconoclast Series II TPC speaker cables or a P20 as my next upgrade. I currently have a pair of Transparent Ultra cables which I happily will move to my office.
They both have a similarity in that they effect the sound of everything that is played on this system. HT and 2-Chan, analog or digital.
Decisions, decisions.
If you have a P10 I look forward to your thoughts on a P20 change if that happens. I think the P20 would be a bigger upgrade but I’m sure the cost is more!
You could try the Series 2 TPC’s for a couple of weeks and decide if they are a better fit than your current cables in that location.
I wasn’t expecting as much difference (in a good way) after putting a pair of Series 2’s in my system.
Love mine…way, way big thumbs up! When used with the new v2 power cord options available… just plain awesome!
Hey folks,
Been wanting to address isolation products for my pre, dac, Roon Rock server. It will replace my decades old mass isolation pads.
I’ve seen these and if anyone has used these, would you recommend?
Solid Tech isoBlack Isolators
Solid Tech discs of silence
Isoacoustics ISO PUCK mini isolation stands
Connexion Shock Proof isolation feet (value solution)
My current pads:
Just eyeballing your stack, I am not sure you would benefit from additional isolation products.
Between the equipment rack and the isolation pads, I would venture a guess that you have things well in hand already.
That said, removing an isolation pad under each piece of kit and adding three ISOAcoustics’ ISO-Pucks or three, properly specified ISOAcoustics’ Orea footers under each component might be effective.
FWIW.
Plus 1 on @scotte1 suggestion.
If it was mine, I’d use Oreas or VooDoo Isopods (which I believe are currently on sale at The Cable Co)
