They seem like theDan Dagostino version of the grinders we use to season our food to trigger our senses.

Our stereo triggers our listening and our salt and pepper grinders our taste.

Having said that, the view adds to the experience, one has to admit.

I am finally uploading a photo of my Sonist speakers with new IsoAcoustics Gaia II feet.
The new speaker location, new feet and new speaker cables have really helped, and am content with the BHK Pre to M1200 monoblocks for music and a Parasound P6 pre to Parasound A23+ for movies. The crossover for the 2 SVS SB3000 subs is set at 42hz with a 12db slope via SVS smartphone app.

A nice video review. This may be my next headphone rig.

I like Tom Martin’s video reviews:

During the video there’s a section that describes Mosaic the control software and the Ring DAC. Both are used in the entire dCS DAC line.

Well worth watching from the perspective of thinking about how we judge any DAC.

Sometimes frustration leads to an ‘upgrade’ I knew I should have invested in years ago. Got tired of messing with my cheap cartridge alignment ‘tools’. Just took delivery of the two real alignment tools:

Dr.Feickert :: Protactor

WallyReference | WAM Engineering LLC WallyTools Analog Setup Tools (wallyanalog.com)

I can’t believe I’ve been fooling around with TTs for, like, forever without tools like these ^^^^. Made precise alignment of a new Sumiko Starling MC I have in-house a piece of cake. And I do mean precise. So critical for bare body carts like the Starling that have zero parallel surfaces to align to.

Bravo to Feikert and especially J.R. Boisclair at WAM Engineering for offering alignment tools that work. Awesome.

I felt the same way about DAC’s. Buying a Bartók was the change I should have done a long time ago. Of course now I have my eye on a Rossini… go figure.

Picked up my third rel s/510 tonight on audiogon. Nice price, I’ll start hunting for one more. 4-s/510s will be fun, I think it will work in my room…gonna find out soon. This one will go in the crawl space for now.

Did you ever try these? I have a few sets coming for a trial.

No, I stayed with isoacoustic. I am looking forward to your review.

Do you think you’ll ever move to the Reference 3 or Reference 5 (KEF)?

Nope, don’t have the room.

Congratulations! Did it take long to burn-in? Also, does the Rossini project mean you won’t send the Bartok to be upgraded with APEX?

I just tested how much of a difference my latest changes to speaker location, speaker feet and speaker cable made with the Sonist speakers in relation to my older Infinity Modulus speakers. Previously, the Sonist excelled with female vocals that bloom and with jazz, but preferred the cleanness of the Infinity’s with other music like Boz Scaggs and even PS Audio’s “The Art of Bass”.
Now?
The Sonist speakers sound so much better and so much more magical and alive with all music than the Infinity Modulus does, making the Infinity’s almost unlistenable in comparison.
The BHK pre to M1200 is the magical combo driving the Sonist speakers.
