They are standard microphone cables. Gold-plated Neutrik and industry standard and, for example, used on the Iconoclast cables. The Canare L4E6S and Neglex 2534 and 2549 cables have slightly different applications, and there is Belden 1800F. My previous system was balanced and I used Neglex 2534.

You can get them from BJC, Amazon, and most audio suppliers.

There are two bespoke cable makers I use here in the UK.
One is Dr Sean Jacobs, who does cables as well as power supplies. I previously used a pair of his unbalanced RCA because they have an air dielectric, double insulation and I needed good locking RCAs - cost about $300.

Vinyl Passion do a basic cable, then one with an air dielectric and silver plated copper (about $200 for 1m RCA and add $50 for balanced). Next up is a cable, same conductors, but they are damped with liquid sorbothane so that they have constant inductance. These are about $400 for a 1m pair.

This is the world of sensible cables. VP have been making a lot of cables for decades and get conductors bespoke extruded, not off the shelf. Mark at VP also does quite a lot of R&D, he did all the electronics for my turntable made by a local company. VP make a lot of Linn upgrade parts and power supplies, so my turntable unsurprisingly uses similar electronics and motors.

VP also designed and make the Dust Buster, which sells in vast quantities around the world.

Aw, you’re no fun! Enjoy the new speakers! What is your first piece of music to play on them?

At first they had a cardboard-type look
Then i got them out of their boxes.

Edit: @weedeewop the lights are in the photo

They look like the first speakers I built aged around ten - big cardboard boxes with drivers snagged from an old radiogram.
They sounded ok too, in a slighty rattle sorta way

Did they come with a complimentary supply of octave recordings?

Setting up speakers comes first. Everything else suffers…

Did they come with white glove delivery?

A crew of 1. It looked as if two refrigerators were being delivered. The two huge boxes were bubblewtapped together and on a wood crate. I held the top of the boxes as the crate/boxes were being transported from the truck.

Found this new manufacturer of tuning cups. Put them as near as possible to the first reflection point. They come in a set of 7 for different frequencies. Just installed them on top of the record cabinet and the bass is tighter, soundstage a mile wide and they don’t need upgraded fuses! The one on the left did wobble a bit when I played Black Dog. Will be launched at the Munich 2023 show.

It has been a few weeks since this USB cable arrived and started burning in.

After aweek or so I switched off the ground lift for USB on DS MK II per Teds suggestion based on drift my system has seen over several months he thought might be related to static build up. I have had no more drift of sound going bad. I still plan on removing the mkII lid and seeing if back panel ground finger on DS needs adjustment.

I never told my wife about the new Inakustik Pure Silver Refernz USB air. We had watched home theater movie last night. Afterwards i wss going to restart USB burn in and shower then go to bed. She was unaware of any cable change. I started a playlist she said she eould unwind and listen.

About 15 minutes s later i came back ans she was in full request mode so I queued up some new songs.

This morning she wanted to know what I had changed in my system. She said she had never heard music sound so good and natural and be so beautiful. I stated “Oh its just a difference USB cable with some silver wires.” Not highlighting the price of course. I was told by her she liked this better and it was most improved versus all my other changes. I am thinking I agre. I know tweaks are cumulative but this USB cable from the Bacch4mac roon end point to the MKII so far has been a winner. I will swap back my previous Inskustik Refenz USB in a few mor weeks and write a thread about differences. BTW my wife wasn’t event listening from the Bacch4mac sweet spot but right of it where one gets normal stereo without outrageous 3D images.
