Yeh… 79 now…and my first piece of PS gear was a 1986 PS Audio 200C amp. I think it’s now in PSA’s ‘museum’ on the 2nd floor. I traded it for a pair of M700s, then on to Darren’s M1200’s, now a BHK250.

Lost your teeth already?
So now my new Pangea Audio Premier XL be copper ac outlet
has 6 days run time.
The energy flowing through the Pangea Audio Premier XL be copper ac outlet
is much greater than my 30+ year old stock receptacle as well as an $8.00
Eaton receptacle.
Images are more solid, larger with more body, while maintaining air presence with
quickness.
Opening up the 30+ year old stock receptacle revealed some cheap grey
metal…amazing that I did get good sound from it as my whole system was
plugged into via my P15…
Great testimony of the P15 delivering the goods despite a cheapo duplex wall
outlet.
Needed to add the Pangea outlet is weightier by far than the other 2 outlets
and solid.
Will add more thoughts as run time increases.

It is good to hear that it makes an improvement to your system.
I only turned on the system for one hour. The new outlet/plate is making very sweet music. It is surprising it produces great detail already. This is a good sign since it needs a few hundred hours of break-in.
Too bad you can’t fit it with a fuse, maybe some 3M
absorbent sheet sections discretely placed.
Here is a brief review of different Audiophile AC outlet comparisons including the Oyaide. So far mine sounded nice, but the bass is loose and the background is grey. It is consistent with break-in on cables/cords from my experience. I select SWO-xxx to bring in a “cooler” SQ to my system. It is too early to tell of course. I may order a Oyaide R-1 to compare later.
Hey Donald thanks for the link…
Wish they had tried the Pangea Audio Premier XL be copper ac outlet
to see how it compare to the ones they reviewed…
Again thanks

I too was a Heathkit builder in the early 70s. My first music kit was an FM receiver. The full wave bridge rectifier kicked my junior high ass while troubleshooting it; Dad to the rescue!
gthiel, do I know about such things…
After an interesting but successful build
of my 1st Heathkit all tube point to point wiried integrated stereo amp;
Built a Heathkit Ar 13 am-fm receiver the baby
brother to the AR 15. On this one you had to
populate the pc boards as well as install all
other hardware and wire the different rotary and
other many swithches. There were quite a number
of these…wow!!
Somehow the power supply cap was either bad or
I had miswired it…upon first power on …oh boy
kabooom!!! with smoke…quickly unplugged the unit…
Power cap indeed had exploded…no harm to me
except a good startle along with dismay…
It took several months for Heath to send me a replacement.
This time it went well…Had the AR 13 for quite a few years.
Those were the “good ole days” ha ha
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes
If I remember correctly mine was the AR17. Thank you too.
Thanks, my review has been moved to Upgrade thread instead of here. Even though I’m an old guy.
I should probably do that too, my post makes no sense now. Did you cut and paste or formally move it using the software?
Yep!
Cut and paste, then delete.
old guy getting upgraded?
If you are meeting the title of this thread, congratulations! You’re upgraded😆
Daggers to you Akro.
Myself at 62, I’m grateful for good hearing. I seldom went to rock concerts, never worked in high SPL environments, nor engaged in firearm discharge. If I pick up a grain of rice from the kitchen floor, I can hear it hit the kitchen sink when I toss it from eight feet away.
