I tried to add an avatar with a photo on my iPad, and the location shows as
c:\fakedirectory\image.jpg
and it doesn’t upload.
Is this a forum/iPad compatibility issue?

Unfortunately, iThingees/Apple often do not play will with others. We have had a number of challenges with iPads.
The general avatar directory is http://www.psaudio.com/wp-content/avatars/ But please do not just put something in there.
If you post your appropriately sized desired avatar as an attachment to a post I should be able to coax it into the correct location.
Elk said If you post your appropriately sized desired avatar as an attachment to a post I should be able to coax it into the correct location. The trouble with IOS is that not even attachments can be uploaded without going to a stationary machine/laptop. This is a huge flaw in my case (very cumbersome). I need to mail my iPad attachment to myself, download it on the other machine, edit the post (upload) and then publish. Then I can continue on my iPad
Ouch!
Here I thought I offered an easy resolution. I am happy to try to get it to work. (Ironic as I dislike avatars of any kind, but the forum does not allow a null. Notice my tiny white square avatar?)
Is it just as awful to PM with an attachment? I assume so, but perhaps this is a work around for Bud.
This is not a problem with the Vanilla YABB.
Thanks. It really isn’t that important, but I was wondering what I was doing wrong. I like using my iPad for reading the forums. It stays on a table next to my chair, and makes the Internet like a magazine. I just pick up the iPad and check if there are any new posts.
