Avatar size not large enough

#1

Avatar size is not large enough. I do not have any pics suitable to what ever size is allowed . Can it be changed to allow for a larger file size.

Does the “Profile” button near the top right of the page get you to an profile editing page? If so the “Edit Avatar” button should get you going.

THANKS TED! That got it.

I cannot add any of my pics. I found how too but they all are too large if a file.

"Maximum filesize: 10240 bytes" I think this is to small, don’t know if it can be changed.

I tried resizing an image but couldn’t get it to work.

+1 for bigger pic sizecry

I am not sure I understand what you want. Avatar pictures are tiny, maybe 100x100. What do you want it set at?

The old forum allowed you to download a pretty big picture and downsized it for you. It also had options to crop your downloaded picture to control what happened with non square pictures. The current options here require you to use some program on your computer (tablet, or whatever) to crop and resize your picture. Not everyone has a picture resizing tool at their fingertips.

I did a Google search on the issue and apparently you can actually load any size pictures (I think) and it will resize it. If not, then I am not sure what to suggest. I may have to get our webmaster to code it differently. Has anyone tried a larger image than what’s specified?

Sure, I just tried again. I can’t use the picture I used on the previous forum nor a reasonably smaller version of it. I had to use a crufty decade old command line program to shrink my picture down to 50x50 to get it to work. Perhaps it’s a simple option that limits the input and if those were relaxed everything else would work fine?

I used this program for Windows: https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/...it works for me so I would suggest anyone can do it! It’s still a bit small though.

It wont do it automatically for me like it did before. I used the above program to resize it. Not the most detailed shot of Rosie the JRT

Hmmm. Ok, what would be the optimum maximum file size to code into the program? Can’t be too crazy.

Whatever it was before would be fine with me.
