Thanks for posting that link. I’m a sucker for anything from the Republic of Yorkshire, and people called Brenton. I had in mind putting a clean reclocking switch off my modem for the direct connection to my streamer. He’s a complete non-nonsense chap. Explained it all and the best way to hook it up. No audiophile BS.

I have achieved great sonic improvement using Senior1 as “donor”
I’m the not very proud owner of a Synergistic Research 3.15A fuse. Not proud as it didn’t make any difference. It’s not a safety fuse. It goes in the back of the device, not the wall. Can’t say I didn’t give it a try!
These switches run off 12v. It seems to have some mains regulation. I’ll ask him. Otherwise it’ll be an iFi low noise wall wart. All those wall warts contain inaccessible fuses, probably to drive fuse-o-philes mad.
QSA are now selling stock $30 Belden ethernet cables for $4,000. Galen has been his usual kind, generous self explaining to me how all that works. QSA have teamed up with a chap in Belgium who seems to have chosen a career change from financial regulation.
I joined WBF because there was a lot of Pulsar and Garrard discussion. I’m doing a Garrard build. I did point out over there that the QSA guy claims that his process when applied to a rice cooker gives you better tasting rice. Even this revelation won’t get between an audiophile and their next cable fix.
Back to the switch, it’s a mix off science and paranoia on my part, and a love of all things and people from Yorkshire.
It goes back to a chap called Nigel from Huddersfield who introduced me to jazz. There is a specific Huddersfield accent. He got a student job at Disney in Florida, they put him in a uniform, he started talking and people gave him money. So he kept talking and the money rolled in. They must have thought he was a variety act, obviously Floridians don’t sojourn in Huddersfield.
