I performed firmware updates on my Airlens streamer following the manual instructions. Now I can’t get Tidal Connect to connect to my Airlens. The Airlens option shows up on Tidal screen but it would not engage. The strange thing is that Tidal still connects to my Stellar Strata’s bridge input but not the AL.
Has anyone had this or a similar issue with Tidal-Airlens connectivity? How was it fixed?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, will follow this and solutions with interest! I’ve never been able to get the AirLens to work with Tidal connect (selecting the little icon speaker in Tidal has never revealed the AirLens as an option) and I can’t work out why!
Tidal connect has been working for me, till today when I performed the firmware updates (not sure whether that was even needed). Interestingly, my roommate was able to connect with his Spotify connect. Hopefully someone in our forum can help.

After performing the firmware updates have either one of you tried re-booting your entire network from the router forward? Will take you about ten minutes to shut everything down and re-boot in order from the router forward. This should clear up any IP address issues and if not you are the victims of yet another PSA and Conversdigital software problem. Goes back to the days of the Bridge II.
Can also try rebooting your phone, and uninstalling/installing Tidal. If someone else can connect, it sounds like an app/phone problem.
Marvelous! I also just tried rebooting, and voila, Tidal is now connecting to the Airlens. I was going to tree uninstalling/reinstalling Tidal if that didn’t work. Didn’t have to.

Just got an Air-Lens to replace my BluSound Node. Quick question: Will Tidal (Connect) work through Air-Lens without Roon or other intermediary? I have a Soekris dam 1941 and I’m in the process of installing an I2S circuit and connector.It’ll probably be another week or two before that’s finished. In the meantime, I’d like to check out the Air-lens with Tidal. About a year ago I dropped Tidal in favor of Qobuz. I note that, per PSA, Qubuz requires Roon. No such guidance for Tidal. There’s a free trial for Tidal, but I doubt they would give me a freebie.I’d like to avoid making a decision about Tidal vs Qobuz.until the I2S circuit is up and running.Thx.
Not exactly. You can install the mConnectControl app on a device (I use the HD version of this app on my iPad) and use it to access Qobuz. I do have to pause my VPN in order for Qobuz to work. Sound quality is quite good.
I believe that Tidal Connect does work with the AirLens, but since I don’t personally use it I can’t give you any details. Someone else will probably jump into address this.
You just use the Tidal app with the AirLens and in the app, choose the AirLens to stream to. Easy. Qobuz is launching their app officially in April, and we’re beta testing it now. Soon, you won’t need Roon.

Thank you for taking the time to chime in Paul! That’s awesome to hear as having to pay a subscription to Roon and to Quobuz to get functionality is bordering on ridiculous. I am getting the AirLens today and will get a month by month Tidal Connect subscription until Quobuz gets their “Connect App” functionality. I am looking forward to hearing the results through the DS MK2 DAC!

Are you saying that Qobuz is launching a Roon like app ?
Yes, or maybe better put a Tidal-like app. The bottom line is the new Qobuz app, now in Beta, is all you need and no longer requires Roon. You simply open the Qobuz app, and there’s all your music and playlists etc.
Roon is an aggregator of multiple streaming services (along with a host of other delights), but f your main listening is through Qobuz, as is mine, then you can simply use the Qobuz app.
