I have all PS audio equipment except my streamer. The Airlens does not work for me I dont have space to access the DIP switches easily. Please release an improved MK2 with some better UI then I would love to buy but not with the current interface.

Powering down the unit and restarting it worked for me. YMMV.

Iā€™m in doubt if I should update ā€¦ no complaints here, not missing anything (except a better interface and not those switches on the bottom, but thatā€™s not solved by the update) ā€¦ isnā€™t it true about what they say;ā€if it ainā€™t broke, donā€™t fix it ?!ā€

Powering off for just a few seconds worked for meā€¦I figure having the dip switches and no app allowed them to bring the cost down significantly, so a little inconvenience once a year is ok ā€¦

I need with volume control for my MK2-IS2-AirLens-Roon setup.

I have the latest firmware installed on both PS Audio products. Sounds great!

I can control volume via MK2 using remote and MK2 itself (getting the SConnect indicator on MK2 screen). This even changes the volume setting in Roon display.

However, I cannot do the reverse. Changing MK2 volume in Roon has no affect on the MK2 volume!?

I have changed my Roon setting to be Device Volume, and set DIP switch 6 on AirLens to disabled. Also tried with DIP 6 to be enabled BUT same resultā€¦no Roon control of volume.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Did you connect the two units with an A to A USB cable? Thatā€™s needed to get everything working stable.

You may need to restart everything including the roon server to have full control.

Also, try turning the DAC on first (in the video it says the airlens), that will override any dip switch settings you have. With SConnect I leave all my dip switches in the up position.

You can update with a USB Drive also.

@aaronm : yes using A-to-A cable. MK2 and AirLens communicating BUT I have not re-booted Roon server. Will try that and report back

@aaronm : re-started Roon server, DIP 6 on. Still same. One way volume control.

MK2 volume setting changes Roon volume indicator BUT changes to Room volume have no impact on MK2-AL combo. Roon has slider for volume control for MK2 and ā€œVolume controlā€ is set to ā€œDevice volumeā€.

Again, getting SConnect indicator on MK2 screen.

Just in case, I only get the SConnect indicator when volume is being changed on MK2 or remote. When screen reverts back to input signal screen, ā€œSā€ disappears. I assume this is normal behaviour.

Did you update the core firware (streamer) firmware on your airlens? When testing the update I had one unit where the firmware was updated and the core (streamer) firmware on the airlens was not. That cause similar functions.

If you canā€™t get it to update through the OTA, you can always force the update through Mconnect

@aaronm : would I be getting the ā€œSConnectā€ indicator if streamer firmware was not updated?

I did a Version Code testing AL and getting 3 greens followed by continuous oranges until I re-start AL

I can try re-loading both sets of firmware but will await your reply.

Yes. The S Connect shows up regardless of the core firmware.

If you do have everything updated, give my team a call. We may be able to help with some settings in Roon.

@aaronm : I updated the streamer firmware and that did it! Definitely took longer than the first time I did it, so maybe first load didnā€™t take.

Love the MK2-AL combo. And regarding MK2 Blue Skiesā€¦first thing I have noticed is the soundstage. For width I use Roger Watersā€™ ā€œToo Much Ropeā€ and the horse bells. When the horses come through the right channel they actually sound like theyā€™re past me!) I also find that combined vocals are a little more distinct, not as overlayed.

I was able to update firmware in the past with mConnect and now I cant. Any ideas why?

Losing my wifi connection between the AirLens and the Tidal app on my iPhone ā€¦ is that solved by this update ?

It should! There was a lot of connectivity updates with the connect apps. Spotify, Tidal, Roon, etc.

I just updated via mcontrol (mconnect) and it updated successfully to psaudio v4.4.37 on the app. How does that translate, if at all, to the latest 3.0.0?
