Man, everyone has the mocha hdmi cable…wish they still made it. I was looking at the diamond hdmi and the wireworld platinum hdmi prices and choked on the muffin I was eating.
Maybe I’ll order the matrix and just try it with the carbon/coffee hdmi. I’m really interested in the DOP to DSD conversation that it can do…is that what you guys are all using it for?
I do. But many don’t. It’s just something that makes things sound better in my opinion. Consider high performance stereo.com for reduced prices on cables etc. I have had good luck w Steve.
Coffee HDMI is really good or WW Silver Starlight 7 is not bad, but if you want to get one of the best, the WW Platinum S7, you can try Walter at Underwood HiFi. Many of us got it from him for $630. Not bad for a $1k retail cable. The cable is discontinued so don’t know if Walter has any more.

Best HDMI cable I have ever heard. That I have heard. Blows away the Venom, and supplied cable with the PS Audio DS transport. ( Kimber ).
Personally I am not fan of Audioguest cables. Tried to love them, but nope.
Has anyone found a better HDMI cable than the WW Platinum? If over a grand a meter, I’m out. Too $$.
Also has anyone tried the new Conduit Diamond USB cable? I am looking to upgrade my USB cable from the Cardas clear I have been using. No complaints about the Cardas just curious to see ( hear ) if I’ve been missing anything.

I bought my WW HDMI from Walter. I was pleased with the transaction, and saved a good bit of money.
I found a HDMI cable that sounds more exciting than the WW Platinum S7, but it is almost impossible to get from the one man company, Brad. If you can find it used, I would not hesitate to get it. It is the Revelation Audio Labs HDMI $699 for 1.25 M.
I too was using the Cardas Clear with the 2 cables, 1 for signal and 1 for the 5v power. It sounded really good and musical, but the WW Platinum S7 USB is in another class. I found something even better and sounds equivalent to the Revelation HDMI. It is the Audience FrontRow USB. $1300 1M.
I’m always on a budget but I’ve been an avid AQ supporter since rollin’ my own Quartz Crystal Hyperlitz RCA’s 25 years ago courtesy of bulk lengths sold by The Parts Connexion (Sonic Frontiers) . Cables matter even on Cheap Systems. Bill Low proved that years ago with his “Ghetto Blaster” Demonstration. AQ Cinnamon for all my HDMI Video & I2S requirements. Rocket 33 for my FL & FR Speakers. Red River XLR’s both Factory terminated and by me with Gold Pin Neutrik Connectors. My USB is a custom cable a friend of mine builds in Tucson using Straight Wire conductor wire and his own custom wire Jackets.
Yep. Coffee USB cable, Coffee Coax to my ancient ROTEL CD, and Water XLR interconnects with Stellar GDAC, m700 monoblocks and Power Plant 3. Also using Audioquest Carbon Toslink from Samsung television. I really love Audioquest products.

I have a WW Platinum HDMI from DS Transport to DS DAC. It’s amazing. I just nabbed another WW Platinum to go from my Matrix to my DAC. Cardas Clear USB from modded Mac mini. SSD, max ram, and linear external power supply. Sounds awesome! So my question is could it sound even better with a different USB cable???
I replaced my Cardas Clear from my Aurender N10 to the Matrix with the Audience FrontRow and it made the Cardas sound a bit dull and lifeless, but only in direct comparison. The Cardas is really an excellent cable also. But if you want a similar sounding USB like your WW HDMI cable, then the WW Platinum S7 USB should fit your bill. If you want to upgrade, and you don’t want to spend so much for the Audience, then the WW should be an excellent upgrade to the Cardas. The Audience tend to be more transparent and detailed of the USB cables I tried. If you want the ultimate, I’ve heard good things, although I haven’t tried the Shunyata Sigma HDMI $2000. Depends on your budget.
Good info. I like the sound alot. So maybe I’ll leave well enough alone. With another cable ( removing the copper of Cardas ) things may go in the wrong direction.
I have heard many great things about the Curious cable USB as well. Anyone have one, then swap for better?
