O’s stole five bases yesterday without a throw. If not for our left fielder game wouldn’t have been close. Nice to start with a win in Fenway.
Yeah it was almost a blow out. Typical of Sox.
Although wife who’s an Os fan isn’t unhappy. Let her enjoy it while she can…
Happy Jackie Day!
Glad to see TB finally lose, Woodruff is out indefinitely for the Brewers, and the Rockies, once again, don’t have any plans to improve this year.
Cubs just had one get away from them…tough loss in the bottom of the ninth…
Pounded the Dodgers yesterday though…
Ah, so close today!
Looked like a hit either way to me…your thoughts…?
Gotta love the Cubs start so far…especially the starting pitching.
I thought it was a hit too. Neither one was in a position to throw Peralta out. It was humorous when you think of Mookie Betts’ leap at second base yesterday - no way Gomes was gonna do that. Yup, they are off to a good start. Helps to get good teams before they get going!
In April 1983, Tigers right-hander Milt Wilcox recorded 26 outs in a row at Comiskey Park. Sox pinch hitter Jerry Hairston broke up the perfect game with a solid line drive single on the first pitch he saw.
The White Sox faithful gave Wilcox a standing O… and booed Hairston.
Settling in for another likely depressing game - Athletics @ Rangers.
Astros sweep the Braves in Atlanta!
Cubs-Cards in London. Batter up!
Go Cubs Go!!
Fly the W in London! Love it.
London is nice. Beating the Redbirds in London is nicer.
Extra sweet for sure. No relief for them tomorrow. They face Stro (memo to Jed: extend the man, he’s practically begging to re-sign!).
Mark my words…
If they do not give “Stro” and extension, then they are not serious about competing.
It is extremely rare for a team to get to the “October Classic” with less than three, stud starting pitchers; and the Cubs have the makings of a very good rotation.
Time will tell…
Recommend the college World Series final: LSU v Florida. Intensity is high.
I was pulling for LSU. Fun series!
