Unfortunately, PS Audio did not take customers with home automation into consideration when developing the PMG series. I am now thinking about building a Bluetooth Proxy to integrate it anyway. It would be helpful to know the Bluetooth protocol used for the remote control: HID, BLE, GATT or SPP? This has an influence on the hardware required for this project.

I just got the information from PS Audio Support:
“The PMG remote does not have or use a Bluetooth protocol – it is exclusively RF and IR based.”
I am confused right now. I am sure it was mentioned that the new remote for the PMG series uses Bluetooth for communion. IR would be great!
If as it says in the manual that it works with legacy products wouldn’t it be using the same protocol as the current remote?
