Bridge II update?

OK, whatever that means…

It is a reply in the same spirit as your use of “crApple.”

Using the term “WinDoze” and the like deserves the same type of response.

That was an easy one…

By the way, welcome to the forum.

Smooth update for my Jr. It provides an obvious SQ improvement (less brightness) in my system through Qobuz. Did someone else exprerience same improvement?

Big thanks to PS audio for that!

Even with the latest bridge and dsd update, album art is still buggy sometimes and not working properly. For example if you skip current track without seeing its album cover, in the next track its cover would not be showed or if you keep skip to next songs, you would even see old album cover which you had skipped long before.

However they just sound freaking great with Snowmass!! I don’t really mind album art stuff, I only focus on the sound itself.

@mattc

Dear Matt,

Whatever happened to fixing the PS Audio remote functionality so that it could be used to advance/retreat track and play/pause tracks? Feedback received on the forum got was that this was to be addressed in the penultimate update and when that didn’t happen, it would be addressed in the update released this month.

I have no Roon/PS Audio Remote/Bridge functionality for managing Roon tracks over Bridge II with update .17

(This is for a DS Jr)

my bridge II says version 3.6.2 and there is no update available

Doesnt matter. You can do the update in an alternative way. How this works I have described HERE
But contrary to the firmware 3.5.1 (Downgrade) described there you take the current Firmware 3.6.1.7

Good luck :sunglasses:

i am not using a windows computer so Mcontrol is not an option,i guess i will wait until the upgrade is available the usual way

@jlbrach If you have DSJ you need to turn the unit off and on. The update appears after that. Can’t speak to how its big brother does things . . .

i have the senior

Ah, okay. . . .

We’re working on it. In the meantime, you can always revert the OS to Red Cloud, update the bridge to the latest, then re-install Snowmass.

Thanks, again, it’s easiest if you simply downgrade the OS to Red Cloud, update the Bridge, then go back to Snowmass.

i will wait until you post the newer firmwares

Until we fix the bug in Snowmass there won’t be an update appearing. In the meantime, simply go back to Red Cloud, then update the Bridge, then go back to Snowmass.

Do you have a smart device (phone or tablet)? If so, why not install mconnectControl or mconnectControl HD and do the Bridge II firmware update that way?

I downloaded it and installed the firmware and it said upgraded. How do I check to see if I now have the most recent firmware?

Updated Bridge II code without a hitch. So far, it seems more stable now – at least in my rig.

To display the firmware levels, tap the little cogwheel at the top left of the display screen on the DAC.
