This was a wild one. XCel energy preemptively shut off power to areas west of Denver. Things have calmed down, but many still with no power

I played in a golf tourney last Saturday afternoon. The ball would start rolling on its own. Hit an 8 iron 190 yards up a hill, and a driver 150 yards downhill. Putts were breaking up hills. Craziest golf I’ve ever played.

Golfers seem to be a genteel crowd.
As with elite coffee drinkers, that’s mostly true. But, there are definitely blue collar and middle class golfers. If I’m not one, I play with them regularly.
BTW, it was “bad” because my game is worse than it has been it many, many years. My handicap just went over 20! With pretty severe golfer’s elbow in both elbows (that PT and cortisone haven’t been able to alleviate), I might be on my way back to other activities.
Saw a huge tree in Wash Park that must have succumb to the 70+ mph winds yesterday. Sad stuff. I digress.
