Crackle-free audio on the Raspberry Pi with mpd and PulseAudio



Starting and stopping playback creates strange (and loud) crackling and popping noises on the analog audio output.

Interesting. We too have been playing around with such things and in some respects, they work quite well!

Sounds familiar. And from the report in the thread, apparently firmware fixable.

Maybe a bit off-topic, but regarding the RPI - i was able to get minim server running on it and stream to PWD :slight_smile:

Nothing very special, I was just very surprised how well this underpowered computer can handle UPnP streaming (not even mentioning that minim server is written in Java - well Simon is apparently one of the very few Java programmers who knows what they are doing :slight_smile: )
