Hi, I have a Direct Stream Mk1 DAC. Yesterday there was a brief power outage and now the DAC is not working. It can be switched on and it initialises correctly and shows the correct screen. However, it does not respond to the remote or to the touch screen and is not playing. I’m guessing I need a technician to service it but hoping somebody might have some thoughts on this. Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated….I am in Australia, so can’t send it to PS Audio to look at.
My only suggestion you have likely tried already: unplug it completely from power and let it sit for a few hours and try again.
Best of luck. . . it does seem as if one of the “boards” may have been damaged.
Thanks for that suggestion. I turned it off for a few minutes but no luck. I will leave unplugged for a while and try again but you are right, probably a board fried. Thanks for replying.
Try contacting Magenta Audio in South Australia .They are the importers in Australia .They fixed mine a couple of years back when i had issues

Thanks for that…..I have now spoken with Mage ta Audio and sending the dac to them shortly..
