I printed the fedex lable and dropped off the package. I was not aware that we would get a return lable from PS Audio. I have always done this with a trade in.
This is a real strange issue. This morning I reloaded JRiver and I have not had any dropouts so far today. I am going to try turning off the option that seemed to help to see if the problem returns.
When did they send the fedex label? I had not found mine in email yet. I met Fedex label not necessarily an RMA.
I think you should find out why your source canât do gapless playback. Itâs a standard feature of playback software and having the DAC try to fake it is always going to be less reliable than having the source work right. The current FPGA code doesnât add a mute or anything if the sample rate stays the same. It only adds a drop and quick ramp up if the source clock stops, the sample rate changes or thereâs a transition from PCM to DSD (or visa versa). Most all of us have gapless playback normally, tho I know foobar2000 and JRiver MC can be configured to add a pause, reload the drivers, add a ramp down/up, add a cross fade etc. as well as simply be gapless on track boundaries.
I will check roonand the endpoint again. It was set for 0 milliseconds which supposedly means gapless. Perhaps there is something else going on.
Iâm sorry I canât help with Roon configuration issues, but Iâll keep working on refining the handling of transitions that are there.
There are several reports of Roon/Qobuz having gappess issues on the roon site. I experienced them last weekend playing little feat waiting for Columbus. Have no idea if this is related to your issue. Just putting it out there. I never have gapless issues with jriver on my mki over DLNA.
Thanks! I will try same album Tidal and Qobuz see if there is less issue. The truncation today is less than previously but gap seemed to grow since my last Qobuz listen. Vince had shared a post that described Roon problem that did not match. I will experiment and dig more in Roon forum.
Did anyone receive a marked up display on mkii like me? It looks like that PSA used incompatible cleaner to plastic. It is only noticeable at angles. I have not tried to polish it yet. Doesnât decrease lit visibility but not desirable aesthetic on new design or delivery.
Looks like you can pull off a adhesive plastic foil which is still on
Thanks Aaron. That would be great. I expect it will be a feature youâll want to tell everyone about once itâs available!
Hey, I could solve a technical problem with a DAC prior to Ted! ![]()
Sorry I was not clear in what I typed. I went on line to Fedex. Created the shipment. Paid for it than printed the label. we are responsible for shipping the trade in to them. If you had to return your unit for service they would have provided you with a return label.
I was sent a RMA label for return and a sales order slip also through email when I first decided to join the Beta team.
I believe that was just the RMA not to cover shipping.
No, PSA does not cover shipping for returning the trade in unit. Thatâs just the label you use to return the trade in or unit so they will know what unit it is and you donât have to make your own label.
Yes, to make things clear, we do ask that folks cover the shipping of the trade ins to us. There could be a bit of confusion because we have been covering it if/when the MKIIs have needed to come in to get re-works.
Oh, I did it right then. I paid and shipped DS out with RMA on Tuesday.
I am about to turn on the system now, after a round of golf on a chilly morning I am beat. MK2 with 179 sounded great last night!
I do not discern a difference with 179 that you and @Vmax have claimed. I will listen some more. I donât know how you guys can keep your sonic score card clean when you have added new power cables, fuses, dampening devices, and shorting plugs into the mix, along with the associated burn-in of these things, along with the cooking of the MKII. Iâm not doubting your experience and take it to heart. I have trouble enough with two new cars in my parade.
