I listened to it over I2S and USB for close to 2 hours yesterday with no hiccups. It was hard to tear myself out of the listening room with the BHK600s going and the new DS2. I swear it was bringing in as I was listening too. Everything song seemed to keep getting better.
What does the display actually show while in play mode?

I would not go by what the picture form the show looked like. It believe that was preliminary software. From what Paul said he could see the level from across the room. No one could see that display as was pictured from across the room.

I have not stacked my PSA gear in the past since I believe each equipment should have its own space. For those of you that have done that in the past, does it matter if PST is on top of DS, or DS on top of PST? I wonder which way is better.
I do not plan to remove DS and put DS MK2 in the rack and exchange them later. It is much easier to compare the two if I do the above so both DS and DS MK2 are powered all time to compare. Thanks ahead!

A minor point of semantics. Paul said “I believe shipping should begin Monday.”, but you said “…they get them out on Monday as Paul predicted”. I don’t think they can all go out on one day.
I figured as much. I can only hope mine goes out as soon as possible. The anticipation is tough!
I assume the already built ones had to have CCAs pulled for attenuation parts removed or were those parts SMD and access available with lid removed?
They are all surface mount parts on the analog cards which are mounted below the digital cards. I don’t know however how many complete units had to be retrofit, vs. the stock of assembled boards waiting. I do know that they can sure get in and back out of a case faster than I can think about it.
I should say that my comment about how many can ship in a day was more a comment about the logistics of the shipping process itself and the number of beta units going out. Both are things I know only a little about.
I am always surprised at how much longer boxing, taping and labeling takes. Especially when there’s a need to be meticulous with record keeping.
I will be happy if mine ships in November.
