If your not using USB that’s the most important one.
I didn’t either while I had the MK2.
Can you reach out to us directly? We’d like to find out some infro on your system and setup, volume levels, etc. Please email aaron@psaudio.com
The only issue now is it cuts track’s short. The muting is too aggressive in the new UI update.
It all depends on the streamer being used and possibly what input. USB vs i2s etc. I use a DDC via i2s and never had a noise issue since the last 3 updates.
If I’m only using USB, should it be set to auto or on?
auto
Auto should be fine.
I can’t imagine it matters.
It does only if you use multiple inputs.
Same
I though there was going to be a way to turn unused input “Off”. Is that still on the to do list?
I set all the inputs to Auto, and I use both I2S 1 and USB. They seem work fine. I like the SQ better.
Thanks Paul,. I sent all the info to Aaron this morning.
Using the front panel UI controls, I2S-1 is persistently “on.” However, with the remote (with an active connection) it shows as “auto’”.
This is all moot since I2S-1 is all I use anyway.
That’s what we are discussing. Auto turns off the input power when it’s not being used.
Thank you. I just loaded 2.6.2 and the Massive FPGA firmware. I quickly played the first track on my “Rumors” SACD just to be sure that everything was still working and was amazed at how good it sounded ( I play this album at least once month ). As you said, Ted really nailed it this time. ![]()
I have printed David Perry’s Firmware Menu and when I work up the energy I will start making the recommended menu adjustments. ![]()
It is indeed amazing how immediate the improvement is.
Well, Ted did have 20 steps in there between 208 and 228! So, a lot of work much appreciated by us all!
I changed the inputs to Auto: I thought I would have toggle back and forth between On and Auto to perceive a change. No need! Switching inputs to Auto produced a profound improvement… I, too, agree the owners manual is a mess, inartfully expressed.!
