Another vote for that. Pretty happy with a nest of M1’s, and if I liked the Master, I couldn’t stop at one.
Fuse Crack.
Exactly my thought.
@luca.pelliccioli I have replaced three Purples with Masters in my system. I am very happy with the results but plan to stop here.
One went into the Nordost QB8 that powers my system, one in the Mk 2 and one in the BHK pre…
When enough is enough, you know.
Some drift off to sleep.
Just one question about wifi with the Mk2. I was able to switch off wifi completely using some menu clicks in my PST. But I couldn’t find a menu entry for switching off wifi completely in the Mk2, because the symbol always remains in the display of the DAC (also showing the current field strength of Wifi). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance …
Happy cake Day Frank!
Another Happy Cake Day, Frank!

If you turn the wifi off in the menu the display shows a hash line across the wifi icon. The wifi is independant of the ethernet connection. That will show up with a jack icon only when the cable is connected.
Does anyone know why I see two identically named SSIDs listed when I have one 2.4?
Some routers support two different bandwiths one 2.4 and one 5 and will transmit two SSID’s.
Yes, I realize that. I have different names for each. My MK2 lists 2 entries for the one 2.4 SSID.
Do you have a WiFi extender/repeater in your system?
They can add an SSID with a similar name, often adding something like EX to the already existing SSID name.
Bingo! I have a mesh system with one satellite to get around a large center chimney structure. Sounds like I need to revisit the need for the satellite. Thank you, Elk, for the enlightenment. Sometimes it take a fresh perspective to open one’s mind.
Happy cake day Frank!
… I will check that with my router and the setup there. Thanks, Elk and Sixpack1!

My reply relates to the Solti Golden Ring SACD that you were using to assess the SQ. To my ears, on a Luxman D10x, the SACD has a dramatically different signature to the 2012 reissue for both the SACD and CD layers. It also came with a booklet that was misprinted in that the page numbers were not sequential. This problem was highlighted on Amazon. I have been corresponding with Decca/UMC UK for the past month or so about a replacement booklet that is printed properly. They intimate they have one but they never send it. Have you had these issue and if so, were you able to resolve it?
@mazarine1643 - I think we are listening to different versions. I downloaded mine in 192 kHz/24-bit FLAC format from prostudiomaster.com. They also have remastered in 2022 versions available for Die Walküre, Das Rheingold, and Siegfried (which was just released this week).
The downloads do not include a booklet, so I guess that is one way for Decca to address the page number issue ;-).
Question on the ‘connection’ light on the Mk2 screen. (This was discussed somewhere previously but I couldn’t find it.) I have a PST connected to Mk2 via I2S-1 and the light is green as it should be (according to the manual). I moved the hdmi cable to the I2S-2 input (after powering down both units) and restarted and changed the input to I2S-2 on the Mk2. The light is now red and several input changes and rebooting did not help. Is this known or maybe I am missing something?
CD’s play normally but I’m guessing SACD’s won’t play as DSD (didn’t think to try until now but will later).
