Isn’t that the one that moves out first?
Will the new DS II have a wireless streaming capability ?
nope that’s what the Airlens will be for
Could this be the MKII on the desk in silver and black? I don’t see a draw on it so it’s not the transport😁
It looks a lot like mine (tho mine is a preliminary case.)
I can’t wait to see the new case, in black for me this time.
Can you suggest a text or some search terms to help me learn how zero stuffing fits into the process of upsampling? Intuitively it seems like it couldn’t be right to just insert all those zero-valued samples in between points we know must lie on the waveform. Is it just step one, creating memory space for interpolated/calculated values to be stored on all those in-between positions? I recall you saying that every input sample is directly represented in the final data presented to the SDM… if that’s an accurate recollection does it mean the low-pass filtering algorithm knows explicitly which are the samples that existed pre-stuffing, or does it fall out naturally that those points remain on the post-filtered waveform?
PS: I did do some searching on my own but the results I got were not clear or authoritative.
I’m not sure if this is enough detail or not, but this site is a pretty good intro:
Interpolation - dspGuru
I’ll add some others after dinner
A datasheet that has a quick but accurate description:
https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/AD9772A.pdf
Tho I haven’t watched this I suspect it’s reasonable:
Lecture 17: Interpolation | Signals and Systems | Supplemental Resources | MIT OpenCourseWare
Well, now that I’ve skimmed it perhaps lecture 19 is more on target:
Lecture 19: Discrete-Time Sampling | Signals and Systems | Supplemental Resources | MIT OpenCourseWare
Ah, very helpful. Thanks once again.
I noticed that too when watching the video today. It sure looks like it as there is no drawer visible.
If that’s it, the display is much smaller then the MKI.
Paul did mention in the past that they are moving on from the touchscreen display
It was mentioned a while back that it would look like the transport and no longer having the touch screen.
They have settled on this tiny display like the one on the PST. I miss the touchscreen and all the features that it allowed for. I find it interesting when the PWT and DMP which used the touch screen people used to complain about not being able to see it from across the room. I have not seen one complaint about the small screen, ironic.
I was going to bringing it up, but decided to buy one of these instead.
Hmmm. I hadn’t considered changing colors.
The only reason I would switch from silver to black is that in most cases black is generally more popular which makes resale easier.
There are some instances where silver is far better looking.
Makes sense. Less noisy.
I can do without the album art, but it would be nice to be able to see what track I’m playing without having to squint all the time.
