Wow, this is interesting. It was only a matter of time before someone would offer a power supply upgrade like this. I would be very interested in following developments in this idea. Gotta think someone here will jump on this and give some feedback.

Read the instructions. Seem pretty simple. No soldering. I have heard good things about Teddy Pardo devices.

$435 with power supply box. Seems like a no brainer.

I suggest to those who would buy an CMP-A6, and add an external Power supply, contact the Eversolo Manufacturer and ask if they will upgrade their internal power supply for a nominal amount. (I am thinking for a charge in the $200 range.)

I don’t know what the Master A6 does for an improved power supply? That unit is only $400 or so more than the standard A6. Plus it has other nice features. Hans Beekuyzen added it to his system and posted his review on his channel.

The Teddy Pardo site says the Master Edition has a similar power supply to the Standard Edition, so presumably the external power supply would yield similar improvements.

Rats. Ordered. It was $505, $5 more than my limit.

I looked at what is involved to change the DMP-A6 to use the new power supply. Looks doable. I am impressed with the power supply that comes with the A6. It gets completely removed and can be replaced.

Now the question will be does a normal A6 with the Teddy Pardo supply sound as good or better than the Master Edition. Hopefully I will hear a difference upgrading from the stock power supply. But now my nice little one box solution is two boxes. Bah!

Now it needs a Matrix Spdif with sbooster to complete it! Lol

No sir. I am using it with it’s internal DAC at my lake place. Exernal DAC’s are available to me but I am impressed with its internal DAC for the system I have up there. KEF LS50’s and one REL Sub. It feeds into an Onkyo AV Receiver. That is unlikely to change even though I have better gear on the shelf. It’s the main AV system in the living room.

I do have an extremely high quality Panasonic Blu-Ray player too! Imagine!

GO AL GO

i am typing this below because the forum software doesn’t understand “GO AL GO” and asks if it’s a complete sentence, and when I click OK, it doesn’t care and won’t let me post it

Ok aangen your it. You are the one who will enlighten all of us on the worth of this upgrade. Here’s hoping that the power supply is the key to transforming this great sounding streamer into a true giant killer.
