I think, from what others have said, that your method will work only sometimes, depending on source. But would have to re-read the messages above. I don’t have an A8 so I cannot try this. @Julio can you chime in?
What do you mean by source? Streaming vs Files from Internal SSD?
There was a comment above that DSD was backwards but PCM was good. This needs to be confirmed by someone that has an A8.

Okay… here’s the thing.
These are pins that need to be relocated:
Pin 9 to Pin 1
Pin 7 to Pin 3
Eversolo cable side keeps its HDMI A most common pinout.
In other words, let me put it this way. One of end of the HDMI cable stays the same. A8 uses a standard HDMI A pinout. The other connector have to mirror PS Audio pinout.

The question, could someone switch the left and right analog interconnect from the DAC to preamp and would it be correct for all music from the A8 to the DAC?

Yes. It is possible. But if you are not using A8 I2S output, then you don’t need to ask that question. That problem ONLY arises when using I2S. If you are coming out of the A8 with coaxial or optical to an external DAC you need to do nothing. And if you are mentioning “RCA interconnects” as if you are using A8 as a preamp, then you don’t need to invert them. Again, the problem is with I2S only.

What I did with the pins solved my PCM problem, but you are right. DSD polarity is still inversed. I did noticed a few days ago. Tonight after reading your note, I realized as to why, Paul McGowan cd channel were right. But another channel identification file I have was still inversed: Paul’s are PCM, the other is DSD. So yes, what I did was not completely right. Back to drawing board! I’ll get it right.

Even a blind swirl finds a nut sometimes.
I will report back once I do the cable.
Eversolo uses a standard HDMI A pinout. No worries about that end. PS Audio connector will be as shown in the table. Meaning:
Pin 1 becomes 9
3 becomes 7
And so on. You guys will get the idea.
Wish me luck. Making HDMI cables is a nightmare. Conductors are tiny.
Ps: I didn’t include the other pins because they remain on the same position. Anyone can find a HDMI A pinout online. This is getting way out there. Listening to music should be less stressing.
