Fave listening chair?

It seems a little firm at the moment. I think 200 hours of breakin is required.
I will tough it out like the He-Man I am.

I recommend aligning it to the north, as I did with mine absolutely stunning.

Great selection of Stressless at Peters Billiards. Everyone I ask says…Oh, I know where that is, driven by but never been there.

I got mine from Schneiderman’s in Lakeville. Don’t worry, no discount.

Does any one know where Paul got the chair in PSA listening room. He was sitting on one in one one of his recent videos:

Google lens doesn’t help

Thanks!

Ask Paul of August 27 2019 is devoted to the topic of chairs.Paul is in this very chair. At the end he discloses its source as West Elm.

I ordered chairs from West Elm and they were a tad difficult to deal with. I ended up canceling the order and then going through an extended battle to get a refund. I was very sad about the entire deal. Could have just been the one store though.

I ended up not buying it from West Elm, looks like I may have dodged that bullet. Thanks for letting us know. I bought the Valencia Barcelona single theater chair instead. So far I like it, much better than my old one and did really help with the sound. The cup holders are super nice to have. One thing is I would appreciate a little more support from the upper back when the headrest is up since the headrest cushion is stiffer than the top lower cushion it felt a little bit weird, only in certain seating positions however.

I think I need to find a new chair / very small loveseat. I’ve got about a 4’ width to play with, but I’d like something maybe a bit more snug than that.

Stressless for me, since mid 80s
Very comfortable
but
be careful which model
When I bought mine I think there was only the one model
Closest I see is the Classic in the current range
Ebay or similar prices are crazy low for the comfort.
Fabric for me.
Falling asleep while listening is very easy

Anyone have experience with any of the Eames knockoffs? Looking at CurverK and The Iconic Chair. Both seem like solid choices.

CurverK

Iconic

Both look like they might need an additional pillow for lumbar support.

I have a real one I inherited and a modern recreation.

Have to say the new one is sturdier but, I find them to be too low for my speakers.

The ottoman on some recreations is not as stable as others. Look at the area covered by the legs.

It is a very comfortable design. I have passed out on them many times.

Thanks for info. Replicas are still pricey, hard to just ‘take a shot’ and hope for the best.

Let me look at my replica later today. I can’t recall where my wife bought it. Pardon the mess in my home office

The real one (at my sister’s):

I purchased my replica 4-5 years ago and the price was much less than what I’ve seen here. ($600.00) I can’t imagine how it could be improved upon.

What brand do you have?

I don’t recall the brand. I bought it on line from a dealer on ebay. It arrived in two boxes and required some assembly, which was very easy.

This could be mine. Not sure, wife bought it
