I would also like to add that all of the timing issues regarding Coax and using NativeX have been resolved. I couldn’t use Coax with 2.2.0 with NativeX because switching from one sample rate to another would/could cause a timing issue whereby the next song would start into the track… to me very unacceptable! 2.4.1 has resolved that issue… at least for me so far. I can switch in the middle of a song between any sample rate and Coax works just like USB.

As I stated in the now closed thread that offered v.2.4.1. I too have album art issues. It does show the album art for the first album played but does not update it any further. I have re-formatted the SD card and powered the PWD down several times which did not change the album art issue.
I also heard an improvement in definition, resolution, and intelligibility with v.2.4.1.
And in a surprising change, hi-rez files (176 & 192) thus far have not skipped nor stuttered. This change may also be due to the Master Reset I preformed. Regardless, I’m pleased that hi-rez files now play without interruptions.

Exact same thing here

Excellent! I am glad you dove in.
Remember, we are dealing with computers here. In everything, including routers, switches, NAS etc.
So often just rebooting or re-installing firmware can awaken features that were already there but not yet fully functional.
Gee… sounds like LIFE.

I believe that the album art is stored on the sd card. Therefore is it not possible that it was wiped when 2.41 was copied to the sd card?
Not only possible but since I re-formatted the SD card before I loaded 2.4.1 and then re-formatted it again after 2.4.1 was installed and then re-inserted the now blank SD card, the original album art has been ‘dumped’ several times during the entire process.
And it should be noted (at least this is my understanding) that when each ‘new’ album is played, the PWD ‘OS’ either overwrites the previous coverart.bmp file, or creates a new one.
Well, it’s supposed to anyway.

@frode
I am are not using Wavestream. just only Jriver.
and e-lyric is unable to find out bridge so I gaveup e-lyric and use Jriver.
I am getting the am radio tuning noises with 2.4.1 when I never did before. I notice also that with anything above 88k2 material that if I switch between nativex and back that there’s a few second delay before sound returns. Similarly, sometimes the beginning of a track is cut off when there’s a switch in sample rates in the playlist.
Definitely a bit buggy.

Ok, then you should see updated album arts, however these are not always updated, even if your uPnP server had tagged them corectly. You might check the syntax, file type and size of the album art residing in your library.
@crabby: ditto
Album art works here with Jriver and 2.14b and 2.4.1.
@crabby @wglenn this only occurred when using the bridge on my setup. I didnt get tuning noises on coax or toslink (I didn’t try USB). Same for you guys?
Have not tried other inputs yet.
After having a couple of hiccups with 2.4.1 I decided to revert back to 2.2.0. The slight clicking heard between sample changes was predictable and repeatable on all inputs and there were a few times when the bridge would not start the selection at the beginning… this even happened once in USB - something that never happened with 2.2.0. It was nice to have RCA Coax working properly but I really don’t connect that way as I prefer USB. The process to revert is easy and simple and once again I am back to dead silence - the way it should be - between sample changes and, I had to pinch myself, I have album art with the bridge!! I don’t know how it got there but its there in all its glory!! This firmware stuff must be a real PITA for the engineers otherwise 2.4.1 would be a complete success. All in all still a happy camper…

which bridge FW were you using, Victor?

That's interesting i thought it meant to click with a change of sample rate. My pwd click everytime even with 2.2.0 firmware. Hmmm
@dcastle
I am using 2.14b. My Dac is 2013 vintage and I can’t recall if it came with 2.14b or if I upgraded but I know its been in the Dac for awhile. This is the first time for the appearance of album art for me. Maybe it was the firmware re-install that triggered everything. I wish gapless worked with the bridge…

@daphan1
I don’t mean physical relay clicks as heard from outside the Dac but audible relay clicks heard through the speakers/headphones.
