Keith Jarrett “Creation” ECM cd
Solo piano from 2014. Perfect way to start a day too early.
Heard this first on Qobuz and I fell in love with it. Later I was browsing in a record store and I found the LP. This is an example of how vinyl can enhance the listening experience. Love the artist and the music. Hearing it on great sounding vinyl makes it a memorable event every time I play it.
Missed this one! Aha, currently only available as a BandCamp download.
The Sunny Four - Mystic
Can we get an amen on The Sarah?
Yes, I’m really enjoying it. It turned a page yesterday and more bass has come in, a good thing for me. I’ve renamed mine “Kamala.”
I’m glad you’re liking it.
Better than the monos?
I gave away my 10 foot pole years ago.
Different, perhaps controls my speakers more thoroughly than the Monoblocks. There’s more grunt with the SEWE300B, and there’s a more refined “feel” to the Monoblocks. The sEWE300B rocks harder, but the Monoblocks have more grace with the music I mostly listen to. It’s actually surprising how similar they both are, more so than different. It’s still early, just day 8 on the SEWE300B, five years on the Monoblocks.
One must take a very deep breath to roll the 300Bs. What are the Western Electrics, $1500?
Well, I do have a ten percent off coupon.
I bought a pair of Sophia Electric Classic 300Bs months ago to use at least at first. They look just like the Sophia Electric Aqua 274 that you know I have several of and are designed to work together with those rectifiers.
They sound fantastic to be honest, in the amp with an Aqua… Supposedly a little more extended sounding top to bottom than the Western Electric 300B. That said I do want to try those out . . . in time. . . when I sell enough stuff to spend the money without a pinch. I’ll certainly be keeping the amp.
I’m glad to hear that it’s a keeper.
Steve’s stuff has such personality.
