That there is a great list. I see you are a fan of the ecm label as well as the trio EST, and Hiroshi Yoshimura.
Thanks! A lot of artists on your list that I like too!
I also like the ACT label. The more I look at my library the more I realize how much I have neglected it.
Time to put on my librarian hat.
I am going through the same thing, sorting it all out. BTW I agree on the ACT label
Listening to disc 1. Rachel is quite accomplished, and natural regarding the cello concertos. I just need to adjust to the violin vice cello.
My first music of Thursday is the bonus selection on the Grateful Dead (HDCD remaster) cd of “Wake of the Flood” that has Bob Weir demoing on acoustic guitar the “Weather Report Suite.” It’s quite a showcase.
Miles Davis “E.S.P.” Mobile Fidelity SACD
This one is waking me up.
OK, after listening for a bit, gotta say that I have the same complaint that I have about most baroque instrumental small group music: after a while they all sound the same.
Skipping…
I thought this was a very good adaptation…
No argument, It is an adjustment for me that is all. I have a strong liking for the sound of the cello.
This is the only Tangerine Dream album that I’m familiar with and I’ve played it countless times over the last 40 or so years that I’ve owned it.
After a six year wait, Mette’s new album was released yesterday. https://www.allmusic.com/album/drifting-mw0003870949
A fine Chick Corea Super Trio CD this sunny Saturday morning. This is a solid set that was initially available at Chick’s concerts or imported from Japan.
I managed to sneak in one disc today.
(Brian Blade’s) LIFECYCLES Volumes 1 & 2 : Now! and Forever More Honoring Bobby Hutcherson
