Gryphon PowerZone the hype is real!

First things first. Proprietary and unique technologies usually have a long way to go to hit the mass market. I will probably be long from this earth when BAACH processing is incorporated in every day playback.

He will soon tell you it needs more break in like a month longer.

PZ may have Hafner tech. inside, but that does not mean it is ONLY tech. inside, I will follow Gryphon’s instruction. Also, didn’t Paul said do not plug another power conditioner into powerplant too?

Don’t worry, in the meantime we will all have at home an MU9 connected via Sakra 43 and powered by an ABS cable (Angen Bunny Synergistic company founded in 2035) made of rubies and lapis lazuli.

Oh… Donald will still be playing golf during that time, while Vince, being retired, will have invented a type of silver-colored coffee capable of making garden vegetables immortal once picked!

Too funny and a bit too close to home.

He has already asked me today a few more days to play with it, because he’s really surprised by it and he’d like to experiment with different gear plugged into it!

The powerzone is not a power conditioner it’s a power enhancer. Lol

Or a power sucker that sucks money out of one’s bank account! All for the good though…

I’m curious of the various results from different systems. Class A, AB, and D amps. Full range speakers and electrostats, solid state and tubes. So much variety!

I have to admit I’d rather know how it sounds… in my system!

I’m betting you will be pleased very pleased. The PZ has been in service for 7.5 days now here and it sounds better everyday. I have to stop and enjoy the Sakra’s while they last.

I want it… NOW!

You have a point there. It seems to make better components sound better, and makes better tweaks sound better too.

For example, I just added this little enhancer to the PZ enhancer. The result of the improvement is quite shocking! Its effectiveness is like double than with P15 and Puritan.

Donald, that’s very interesting. If it gets better, you can hear that there will be an improvement.
Oops :grimacing:
My PS Audio is now in a corner of the room and I don’t miss anything. Quite the opposite. After I followed the tip to remove the cordless phone and station from my music room, it seems to me as if the sound has become richer.
I’m still dazed by the little wonder box that I was able to hear in action yesterday. The stupid thing about it is that it works best without other filters. So I still need a high-quality power strip. I’m thinking about whether to get a Furutech Vault or one from the same manufacturer.
The advantage is that a silver cable is already installed. The disadvantage is that there is a normal version and an improved version with a better connection cable.
If I asked you, Donald, you would definitely recommend the larger connection cable.
Like with the Zenwave psr-14 for the PSR11.
About 8 weeks delivery time, time to save money.

It is like many things, size matters.

The PZ has a big ground post in the back, so I connected the green line from Puritan City. Hmmm, I am not sure I heard anything different. In fact, I think it sounds worse with City ground connected. I need to listen more to be sure.

Hi Donald, you replaced your Verafi device with the Labahua noise harvester as I recall. Just price difference or performance as well? Do more harvesters work better? (Anyone?)
I’ve got the Verafi Mainstream line conditioners (x2) which work well.

Regards
Phil

If you mean the Puron plug-in conditioner, then yes. I like Labahua HIFI Audio Power Noise Absorber EMI Filter better (the one I showed in post). It is 1/5 of the list price of Puron, and it is more effective too.

I have two, but only use one since there is only one spot left on PowerZone. I use the other one for Puritan which serves HT now.

Thanks Donald, I might pick up a couple of the Labahua devices for fun.

Fascinating, I think. Years ago the market introduced all manner of power noise reducers. Most of them a low cost, plug-in cylinder, and variations exit today. I still have one on my video system outlet. No idea if it does anything.
Sophisticated filters and regenerators have replaced these do-dads with even better noise reduction, lower impedance, lower THD, and give you multiple outlets.
It would be ironic that these little hanger-ons could improve the PowerZone. I’m skeptical, but it could be a symbiotic relationship. Audio enhancers for everyone.

What’s the hubba-hubba about the Labahua?
