Paul. I love my 300 and so should you! I’m sure the 333 is nice but leaps and bounds I doubt…Rune’s job is to promote and move product like any good salesman…
I just had the opportunity to hear something that has an incredible effect and could outdo the Powerzone. If the Hafner modules aren’t a hindrance, the little box could give the Powerzone another boost. My way will probably be the little wonder box and a high-quality power strip.
I’ve never experienced such an effect before. Deep tones that are only casually perceptible in a song get a real boost. Piano strikes have a real energy as if I were standing next to a real piano. Voices sound as if the singer is singing in my ear. Dynamics turbo. And all this with just a little box that just plugs into the socket.
Today I was able to see for myself what I had only been told before. Unbelievable. Disadvantage, only on order and at least 8 weeks delivery time. I’ll tell you more when I have my order so that there are no longer delivery times due to high demand.
I have a few of these from several brands, and on their own none of them is even close to a PSA powerplant. I seriously doubt they can compete with PowerZone. But plugging one into P15 and Puritan helped, and it could be the case for PZ too.
You are trying hard to discredit a $14k+ Gryphon I will soon tell you how much difference it will make.
Seems like “sound and fury, signifying nothing”.
Good old Shakespeare. Again, not doubting your experience (assuming you have made actual comparisons) but actual giant killers are very rare and must stand the test of time and a broad based vetting process.
thanks …
Good sign if he is talking about the powerzone In Australia …
Josef was a true pioneer in Australian Audio - In the early days i got a lot of equipment thru his store - Use to run a crappy van between Sydney and Melbourne (20hr return trip) - once got a pair of Martin Logans Electrostatics dropped off at work- much to the surprise of my work colleagues …
They even did a special tribute when he passed
Rune is right its not just about enjoying Hifi its about relationships and having some fun
Donald, it’s different from anything you’ve ever heard before.
I heard the little wonder box in action at the manufacturer’s for the first time today. Various songs, once with and once without. I’ve never heard anything better. Without the wonder box, it sounded like high-end hi-fi. It was as if there were real instruments in the room. I’ve never heard a piano touch so realistically from a system. My system certainly won’t play at this high level. I still have Dragon power cables that act as a brake.
I don’t want to badmouth Powerzone, I haven’t heard them yet, I probably won’t be able to until next week.
The wonder box could perhaps help Powerzone too.
Who knows? We might have a direct comparison soon and also know whether they work together or better separately.
Hurray!
Can’t fall asleep until I read your next post about your impressions right out of the crate!
Me neither Donald Tell us your first impression.
Okay Luca, you can go to bed and have a sweet dream now! What is the biggest impact from PZ out of the box (replaced P15 and Puritan)? Effortless dynamics is the first thing that comes to mind. The piano sounds like it’s coming from a real piano, and the bass, oh my, tight and deep. This would be an endgame for me, and I already knew that within the first 10 minutes!
Andreas, I don’t need any wooden box; this is a beautifully built piece!
Thanks!
Ronf Ronf PZ… zzz… zzz…
I was told today that filters and power stations cannot deliver the peak impulses.
Powerzone is also a high-quality power strip without a brake. I would be interested to know how the Hafner module works. But what is important is how it sounds. The small box is mysterious. But it sounds unrestrained and real.
Nice you unboxed it on the golf course!
Donald uses the power zone to charge a golf cart for a quick warm-up ?
I hope you have a lot of fun with your new toy after the long wait.
Keep us updated.
Who said anything about a wooden box? It is a small high-tech box that is supposed to solve all power problems. However, a high-quality power strip without filters is still required to supply the components. All in all, not a bargain.
Not a cheap alternative to the Powerzone. Just different and perhaps a possible addition to the Powerzone.
I heard from Paul Hafner this AM. A fellow forum PZ owner wanted to ask if he recommends using the Furutech wall outlets for the PZ? He said the gold Furutech outlets were chosen for the PZ for thier neutrality. He felt the rhodium outlets may make certain systems sound too bright. He said he uses the Furutech wall outlets with pleasing results.
Paul mentioned a month with the PZ should be fully optimal as far as burn in time.
Yes, I was also advised not to use Furutech sockets. In the EU, Schnerzinger sockets are supposed to be the best. I don’t know if there are any for the US market.
I was also told that rhodium contacts can produce a bright, artificial high tone and that NCF interferes with the speed of a pulse.
If you ask others, they are enthusiastic about Furutech Rhodium ncf.
Does Powerzone not have NCF Rhodium connectors?
JUST FOR CLARIFICATION in case anybody is curious
THAT IS NOT A GRYPHON VANTA CABLE.
Clearing the air. The Powerzone uses Furutech GTX-D (G) receptacles. That is what I see on the back of the unit and the “G” designation is added from the confirming discussion Paul had with the other Paul, the design and specifier. The gold plating is used to achieve best sonic neutrality.
YMMV, and it probably will.
The PZ is now playing in my room too, for about two hours.
Oh my! Right out of the box!
