I just took a look at the comments for the first time…and the last time.
I’ll just enjoy Paul’s thoughts and ignore the rubbish in the comments.
Easy enough to do…
I’ve said it before, more than once, this forum is an oasis in the desert of incivility and inanity that makes up much of the “Interwebs”.
Thanks to all here that purpose to keep it that way.

Well, Scotte 1 ,if you look at the original post which was December 2023, the Rats offensive posts have been allowed to continue for 11 months, so your description of the site as an Oasis is quite past tense. IMO, get rid of the Rat who is the main offender, if one looks at past posts he has continued even though he has been warned. Purge this site of the Rat…take out the garbage…No more chances… .
I am/was referring to this Forum; not Paul’s Posts.
The only way Rat’s comments make it into this forum is by you bringing them in.
Haven’t viewed Paul’s Posts for eons, and the referenced thread is a reminder why I no longer visit them, arggh! Rubbish!
Thanks, Elk! I shall attend to it.
I have been reading Paul’s Posts from the beginning and all that time I get them every day in my email. No comments are there, you can read the post comment free. You have to click on the “Comment” link to see them. I have wandered there a few times and long ago decided not to participate. “That guy” has been there a long time and is a major reason I don’t read the comments.
There are some really good comments in there. However, some posters take everything political and uncivil rather quickly.
I decided to check Paul’s Posts and of course Rat is still posting and of course does not consider his past posts political, did any warning sound like it worked ? This is from the Moving Air article .

Unclear to me what or how it serves the Forum community by repeating it here. For those inclined to indulge in this sort of thing they are free to visit the Comments Section of Paul’s Posts. I get that Paul McGowan has more important things to attend to than policing the comments.
Well said! Wondering if it is time to retire this post.
My experience is posters will not police themselves. It is the other guy whose posts are offensive.
The only solution is a zero tolerance policy. Some will leave claiming censorship, etc. But it works - as we have experienced with this forum.
We rarely see a post here which is other than collegial.
Please stop transferring the nonsense from there to here.
You noted your concerns and @Paul has engaged.
I see no benefit to getting into the details and debate here.
One man’s opinion and request…
Respectfully yours,
Scott
I wonder if view numbers would decrease, remain static or increase if @Paul disabled commenting on Paul’s Posts.
Personally, I think he should disable comments.
I remember when John Darko disabled comments on darko.audio which I found and still find refreshing (comments are still enabled on his YouTube channel).
My opinion, someone is asleep at the wheel.
2 people never returned after being repeatedly skewered by him. One was Soundminded and the other name I cannot recall. Another active responder changed his online name and became very low-key and now rarely contributes. There have probably been other voices silenced as well. I have been cautious about responding. He seems like a cool, unpretentious, insightful guy, but if irritated by people (even if not responding to him) he comes at you.
Read through some of the posts, seems pretty mild to me. People with different opinions…Oh my!
As you are well aware, differences of opinion is not the issue.
Read through more of the posts, yes there are some obnoxious rats running loose, but didn’t see anything to egregious.
