Hdmi and dsd 256 dac

good day;

why there is not many dacs with hdmi and dsd 256 in the same time?

it would be so great to conect a bluray via hdmi to a dac ( so i can get dts and dolby audio converted) and the the dac to a amp

i dont need more than 2,1 channel

regards

Just with audio it is difficult enough, and I agree with you.

Adding in audio from a video (for a specialized DAC), I would love for that too, but as far as I know, that doesn’t exist. For the audio part of a video, i use the internal DAC inside the $1100 Panasonic 4k blu-ray player, which is quite good, not as good as an MU2 DAC for audio, but still quite good.

The Bryston BDA-3 can receive audio via its 4 HDMI inputs and those inputs can also do DSD 64, but I’m guessing it does not decode DTS or Dolby, and definitely does not do I2S. Additionally the USB input does DSD 256.

Edit: I was incorrect and initially stated the USB input does not do DSD and that the HDMI inputs can handle DSD 256. Sorry for the confusion, had to find the manual. I use one in my headphone rig and the Coax input won’t see DSD.

to be able to decode dolby or dts i good i guess, when output via rca is well stereo decoded dts or dolby then?
