How about concert photos?

Saw Brit Floyd last summer. Am taking my son to see them again in August. They reliably sell out two shows in Dayton every year. They come once in the spring and once in late summer. I can’t wait. They’re exceptional.

Going to see The Musical Box in Cincinnati this fall for the third time. They’re touring “Genesis Live” this year. They apparently play Supper’s Ready and have the Magog mask. (Supper’s Ready was recorded for the Genesis Live record but was not included on the 1973 release). They are the real deal. Happy to have a dinner meetup for anyone else going. Cincinnati Memorial Hall in October I think.

Also love Mutations. Too bad he only played one song from that.

For the interested:

Coincidentally, it’s a favorite show I’ve been able to enjoy with my son for about 5 years running now, always at Red Rocks till this year. My son is a huge Floyd fan!

Watched the show locally earlier this year and it was fantastic.

I later watched clips on youtube of the Genesis concert way back when and it is an awesome copy

Very cool venue (other than the facts that it is operated by Live Nation Entertainment and a Sam Adams beer costs $16.50). The show wasn’t my thing – the oppressively bass-heavy sound mix didn’t help – but the vast majority of the roughly 5,000 fans in attendance seemed to love it, so what do I know? :man_shrugging:

Great venue, great band, and Hank Azaria does a great Springsteen impression!

Most of the band members were in REO Speedwagon. There is a dispute among a couple of the original members and blocked them from performing as REO Speedwagon.

Grandpa’s got a new band….

He may be old, but he was not in the way!

Alabama Shakes last night, 8/13/25, at the Hollywood Bowl.

I have no idea how I achieved this effect. There’s movement indicated, but the bass towers above the Bowl are not blurred. :man_shrugging:

An evening with Brit Floyd at The Rose in Huber Heights. No inflatables this show but they brought the lasers, the disco ball, and Mr. Screen.

Always worth the price of admission. (They played “Sheep” from Animals of all things!)

People who needed to sit down!

finally, after looking for 3 years, found my ELP pics from about 1971, Washington DC

couple years later, joined newspaper reporter in Cincinnati for a concert promo interview in motel room

Emerson stayed in shower, Palmer was moody, Lake did the talking

and nice ceiling acoustic panels

Not great photos but this Alison Krauss and Union Station show in Richmond, VA was great. Even the sound at this relatively large amphitheater was shockingly good.
