So, late to the party I know, but I just received a Matrix and am looking now for an LPS power supply.

I see old postings of uptone used for $200. I see on ebay there are chinese ones listed at $100, but after shipping it’s $160 or so. Can anyone recommend one new for about $100 that they have used and works well or does anyone know of someone with an older model interested for around $200 ?

Don’t know what voltage you need, but have you looked at Small Green Computer?

I made an offer on an uptone LPS today. If it falls through I will check out green comp. So youve used it and had success? Anything you could share on it?

Would one of these happen to be the correct voltage for an EtherRegen?

EtherRegen will work with 7-12V.

I just read several posts that the uptone LPS fails with the “Orange” light of death… :frowning: maybe this is not something Im looking for especially used. Thoughts anyone? Maybe go with something like @dawkins uses???

Do you have any thoughts on these LPS’s you’re using? Have you compared them to others? Do they come with DC Output cables do you remember?

No not selling but yes they sell them in multiple voltages that should cover the range provided for the EtherRegen. The next step up the line would be the LHY PS that you can buy from Todd at TEK Services in Texas. He sells and services everything Vinshine currently sells. Bought from him multiple times. I think Al has too.

They only thing I ever compared them to was the factory LPS supplied by Auralic and I couldn’t tell any difference. Yes they come with DC cables.

since LPS is 24/7 on, buy a good safety one … I had a bad experience with the cheap one … so beware
