New router, new IP range, P5 not getting IP address and limited functionality

#1

I got a new router which uses a different IP address range to my previous router. P5 sees the new router, or at least it shows the correct gateway IP address on the front panel. The P5 says it is using DHCP, but is not using an IP address in the new range.

I have left the unit connected overnight (& longer) but the P5 doesn’t pick up a valid IP address.

If an Ethernet cable is connected the front panel freezes, so I cannot turn zones on or off, only the rear on/off switch has any control.

When I disconnect the Ethernet cable the unit seems to operate normally.

How can I get the P5 to pick up a valid IP address?

Update.

It was a network problem. Basically a fancy version of a loose cable.
