P12 - Not turning on

Hi Everyone,

Looking to get some guidance and help with my p12.

I went on holiday for 2 weeks and came back. Turned on my p12, it starts up by saying initializing and then goes dead. Power button doesn’t do anything and the LCD is off.

I downloaded the latest firmware and loaded it in. I can see that the power button glowing while it loads and then when it completes it does the above and goes dead.

I plugged everything out for 45 minutes and just tried to turn it on without any luck.

During normal operation I could always see one green light inside however I believe there are now 3 green lights inside (I think).

It’s been really solid and reliable for a while and reaching out to the community in case there’s something I can do? I will reach out to support on Monday.

Thanks everyone!

It sounds like it’s just booting up and going straight to standby. This is normal if it was shut down while in standby. The front logo button should boot it up. If not, the power button on the remote should do it.

I hope this addresses the issue. Fingers crossed.

Hi @jamesh,

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately the logo button or the any of the buttons on the remote do anything to wake it up after the initializing screen vanishes.

Is the SD card installed?

Hi @RonP, no SD card. No other power outlet or lan cable is connected at the back either except the one powering the unit.

Shoot, very strange something happened while you were on holiday. It will certainly be worth a shot reaching out to our service team. They may have some more ideas. Otherwise, your dealer will be able to help. My guess is it’s something simple.

Thanks both for your help with this!

I have emailed the support team, fingers crossed they can help to sort it out.

Many of us have our fingers crossed for you. (Maybe if we arranged to all uncross our fingers at precisely the same time?) Let us know what happens Nathan111.
