Zu Audio Event. Flexible, not preposterously fat and heavy–don’t like all that weight pulling down on my connectors, and sound immediately wonderful and get better with time. Same with their speaker cable and balanced interconnects. Like PS Audio, a small company of really smart people who love it. And they’re made in the USA. High quality is obvious. —Hmm, they should pay me!!!
Any thoughts on Cullen cables?
Patrick make good solid cables at fair prices and will build to your need.
No, never tried one.
Have you used them? Compared to what?
I tried a couple of Cullen PC. I didn’t like what they did in my system, one made no audible difference, a copper one, the silver coated one made a harsh sibilant sound. I don’t know if I caught him on a bad day, but he gave me grief when I told him I wanted to exercise the 30 day return. He accused me of just wanting to use them for 30 days. I told him, I have full intention of trying them for 30 days and if he didn’t like this he should change his policy. It took him two nudges and about 2 weeks to refund my money. I won’t deal with him again.
P.S. I’ve made all my own cables and I’m quite satisfied with them. I have 4 different designs.
Thank you everyone !
I appreciate the feedback.
I’ve found a cable I like more than my DIY versions. Zu Audio mk1. Search ebay.
FYI, I have the Zu Audio Event Mk2 that I bought from them at somewhere around a bazillion dollars and also the same but MK1 that I bought from Zu on their ebay store. I won the bid at a small fraction of the MK2 price and I hear no difference. They’re both fabulous.
