I am sorry, I was not criticizing the place - only agreeing with Michael it is noisy and expensive.
Most countries have military airfields near populatated areas…
and here in the US is no exception.
Ever hear the F4 phantom approach for landing…these were super noisy…

Yes, very loud. I had a room near the apron at Mcguire AFB when I was stationed at Fort Dix. F-4’s would come in all hours of the day. Lots of C141’s too.

As davida stated in an ealier post - “That’s All Brother” was the lead aircraft of the main airborne invasion on the eve of D-Day. Led over 800 aircraft dropping over 13,000 paratroopers behind enemy lines in Normandy.
She was manufactured in 1944 at the Douglas Aircraft plant in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.
