I know this has been discussed before, but I haven’t been able to find the thread. Sorry for asking again.
I have received my PMG 512 dac back from PS Audio a few days ago after service repair was completed. When I try to set up WiFi, I get the following: Unable to join the network"PMGDac-Setup". After I back out of WiFi setup, I notice that the streamer connection dot is blinking green. If I do a power reboot, the connection dot is red.
I have rebooted both my router and modem several times and I still get the same error message. I’m also able to connect to WiFi with my phone, tablet and other WiFi enabled devices without a problem. And I can stream by WiFi with my Airlens.
Any ideas are appreciated. I have contacted Delia, but was hoping maybe I could resolve this issue before the workweek begins.
Were you able to set up Wi-Fi before you returned your 512 for repair?
The way the set up works is that the 512 configures its Wi-Fi as an access point and advertises PMGDacSetup (or something close to that) as its network SSID. You have to then configure Wi-Fi on your phone to connect to that SSID and follow the instructions on the 512’s display to get it to connect to your home Wi-Fi. After the 512 is configured to connect to your home Wi-Fi, obviously you’ll reconfigure your phone back to your home Wi-Fi if it hasn’t already done so automatically when the PMGDacSetup SSID disappears.
If you already knew all this and it didn’t work for you, or my explanation was suitably obtuse, please say so and I or other members of this forum will continue to try to help.
Yeah, I was able to connect before the service. I did previously setup WiFi according to the YouTube video. However, it came back from service, that method has not worked. Thank you.
If you’ve not already done a factory reset, you might give that a try then try the Wi-Fi setup procedure again. This has succeeded for me during a previous encounter with Wi-Fi setup refusing to work after all else failed. Good luck!
