Should I use the filter or regenerate setting for my amplifier(s) on my Power Plant 5?

what kind of Amps do you have ? Is it a P3 or a P5 (didnt know there was that one) I have S300 Class D and I use regenerate on my Power Plant 3

Sorry, I meant Power Plant 3. I have integrated amps: Sugden A23, Hegel, and a Cary SEI 300b. I don’t necessarily have them all plugged in at the same time. The instruction manual just says filter is for components the PP3 cannot handle but I don’t know what it can handle.

I run all my equipment (PerfectWave SACD Transport, Stella GainCell Dac/Pre, NAD FM Tuner and a pair of M700 power amps) on regen on my P3. Never had a hiccup, ever.
