Hi all
I see that there are two versions of the device. Please tell me what is the difference? Why can either one or the other be written on the back of the device.
derectstream or perfectwave
if i’m not mistaken, the old P5 and P10 were PerfectWave regenators.
The newer P12, P15 and P20 are DirectStream regenerators - meaning they produce the power sine-wave via DSD and not PCM . There are also other improvements with newer regenerators .
I believe the two pictures are one older unit and newest. The newer is after they adopted the Perfectwave series and started labeling as a Perfectwave unit. There is no difference in P15’s that I’m aware of. Maybe @jamesh or @Paul could elaborate better than I.
I tried to find information on the Internet. But nothing at all. And here on the official website I did not find any information
There was a video where Paul discussed the name change. They decided they had too many category names and they decided to revert to the Perfectwave as their top of the line. A P 15 is the same no matter which name appears on the chassis.
