I’ve owned a directStream DAC with Bridge II for over a decade. I control it with the MControl or MConnect Apps on IOS. Until February 2026 I used the Australian Broadcasting Coorporation (ABC) as my most common sources. I accessed these via VTuner internet radio accessed from MControl. In February this stopped working. It will stream about 30 seconds then stop. This happened with each of the ABC feeds I tried (mainly their classical and jazz streams). All other streams I’ve tried are still working, including some other AAC streams. There was a fairly cryptic announcement that the ABC were updating streaming services and that some older players may have trouble. The VTuner stream plays fine to my IOS devices or laptop browsers. The front panel thinks the Bridge II firmware is up to date. In case it helps here is the VTuner url: vTuner Internet Radio
First, can anyone reproduce this? Any suggestions for a fix? There are plenty of alternative streaming URLs for ABC feeds so if there is other controlling Apps through which I can feed a specific streaming url I’d be willing to try them.
