Let’s not forget the prog side of one of my favorite bands-
Holy crazy time signatures Batman!
I thought I’d run out of favorite prog tunes…but my playlist doth play on…
One of the best dueling guitar solos I’ve ever heard - is it one guy with 2 effects or 2 guys?
Dang - that album is not on Tidal…
Just wanted you to know I listened to Blood of the Berry three times back to back to appreciate all of the nuances. I ordered a CD copy on Discogs. I also took you advice an ordered the 4 CD’s on the House of Not website. Thanks for the recommendations.
Music and lyrics are very nice. Voice is emotional and the guitar flows…!
From Georgia if I remember correctly
Great - you shouldn’t be disappointed. When I first heard Timothy’s Blood of the Berry I must have spun side 1 way to many times to admit…
When you get your House of Not - check out ‘Pipedream’. If sexual seduction could be a song - this is it. And if that seduction was successful, the soundtrack to the resulting action would be the track ‘Lust’ by Balligomingo. Both incidentally are very well recorded and sound great in the soundroom.
After a few House of Not spins, see if YOU can narrow down a genre, style or sound to these guys. Every song is like the Bits & Bites add - every handful IS a whole new ballgame…
There’s so much Pink Floyd influence through out that album it’s crazy. I guess that’s why I was so drawn to it.
Yes. I think you would have to search far and wide to find the Prog bands in Ga. I’m glad these guys were there.
I got my 4 House of Not CD’s yesterday. I listened to the 1st two last night. I just listened to the last two this afternoon. Although I like them all , My personal favorite has to be the 3rd album. [ On the madness of crowds ]. It’s like a pot filled with a little blues, some jazz, and the prog added for spice. Beautiful vocals, great piano riffs, and killer guitar work. It continues where the album before finished with the mesmerizing track 13, Pipedream. I’m going to listen to it again this evening with lights down low , and some scotch on the rocks.
There was supposed to be a ‘part 5’ album - when we’ll see. Hopefully soon!
I find it is very well recorded stuff - seems not too much is these days.
I prefer Ardbeg 10 year in my House of Not…
Great stuff. (Both the Ardbeg & the CDs…)
I might replicate your idea this eve…
Glenn Fiddick M.D. is a fun tune.
Guy’s got a voice!
Well, that video definitely proves that I am indeed human!
One of my cats was sitting here next to me, looking at me wondering why I kept wiping my eyes and sniffling a little. Yeah, a bit emotional, not only because of that performance, but also because of some stuff going on right now in our family…
The performances during the Kennedy Center honors are often superb.
Best wishes in dealing with the family stuff.
Thank you, sir.
I know this is a prog forum, and I will also say that I’ve never been a Bob Dylan fan, but I have to share this anyway. I was watching the latest Audiophiliac video. Steve is a confessed lover of Bob Dylan and couldn’t stop gushing over this release, so I had to check it out. I just listened to the first disc for the new boxset that was released last Friday . [ Fragments-Time out of mind remix ]. Vol 17 of the bootleg series. This is a beautiful recording. It’s a stripped down no frills remix with a great soundstage.
Ambrosia?
