You going to try it both ways I guess and see if separate sounds better than internal?
I have gone back and forth between the Sig Rendu via USB and the network Bridge in the Bartók. They are equal. dCS had Roon in mind when the Bridge was designed. The integration is seamless.
Less is more.

That’s because they all seem to be full stack buyers. I don’t have cd’s, so I will have two. The Bartók DAC and the Rossini Master Clock. The Master Clock is also designed to work with Roon over a network connection.
The Vivaldi has multiple seperate components including a DAC, CD/SACD, Upsample, and a Master Clock.

Yeah that sounds like that picks I have seen.
It’s really no different then owning a stack of PSA. With a few different components like master clocks and power regenerators. But a stack nevertheless.
I wouldn’t mind a Lina stack for my headphones. Now that would be sweet. Hmmm…

Yes, combined with the initial proprietary streamer/server plans, I think this is the mother of all failed product announcements, regardless of the nonrelevant question of guilt.
What might change the minds of even the last early prospective buyers is the gradual breakdown of communication with increasing/continuing delays along with the lack of even an outlook.

Just a heads up: you are likely to be ridiculed here for suggesting that a master clock provides sonic benefit. My comeback when I experienced it here was always: “So are you suggesting that dCS doesn’t know what they’re doing?” → crickets
