Yes. Looks like the parts we need for the AirLens have been secured and we are back on track.
The AirLens does not have a USB in or out. It is a network connected device with coax and I2S outputs.

Great news!
Thanks for the clarification. Good news that you are back on track. Will the Airlens come with a I2S cable in the box?
Thanks Paul. What do you see now as the target timeframe for availability?
WOW! I hope this is not another April Fool’s joke. Assuming this is true, it is great news! ![]()
How is your new Lumin U2 going? I was told it needs 200 hours of break in. Do you hear more improvement?
Do you play music files? If you do, are you using NAS or external drives? Thanks ahead!
I will be so glad to leave hideous USB far behind. Air Lens bring it!
This is great news and very timely for me. My DS Mk2 will soon be broken in, and I cannot play my networked files. I was about to buy a streamer elsewhere but will wait for the AirLens, or at least try to. So please give us an availability date ASAP.
I’d be glad when the AL is premiering at Axpona… Guess some others as well - and not only in Boulder.
Thanks Paul. Will it have WiFi?
I just got back from a week’s long vacation today and fired it up and I just can’t stop listening to music. I am still very pleased.
As far as break-in, I can’t really say one way or the other. It sounds grand to me. I know my DAC is the weak link as I wait for Ayre to finish up with my QX-5 Twenty. Just like the Airlens, Ayre is having issues with sourcing certain parts. ![]()
You know you made a great decision then!
Yup. WiFi is built in.
Great! Thanks. I’d hate to go back to EOP and have to deal with the instability that comes with it.
Fantastic news!
Very much looking forward to seeing the AirLens out for retail and hearing how it goes.
So how would one use just Ethernet? Would plugging in the ethernet cable enable it?
Airlens has Ethernet in and most likely wifi. Output is only Coax spdif and I2S.
Do you mean Wi-Fi interface as well as LAN interface electronic parts on the board should be disabled when one of them is not in use?
Your asking the wrong person. I’m not planning on getting an Airlens and do not know how it operates.
I do not have those details either
