PS DSJ - No Link Lights

Up until yesterday my DSJ worked great no issues. Turned it on and wouldn’t connect. Not visible in MConnect. I have read a bunch of posts and thanks again to the user how posted to try searching 0.0.0.0.

So my issue is no link lights on the hub the eithernet is connected to or the DSJ. No DHCP address getting received, ip is 0.0.0.0.

Used a scanner to test cable, it’s good.

Hooked up another device and got link lights on that device and the hub.

Rebooted everything (hub, router, modem, DSJ) multiple times. Tried different ports in the hub. Left the DSJ unplugged all night.

Switched between static and DHCP in the DSJ menu.

And now I’m out of ideas…..

Of course its the weekend and PS Audio is closed.

The DSJ still recognizes the bridge from what I can tell, just not getting connectivity. I suppose I could inspect the pins? But it was never disconnected prior to the issue. It has been now about 10 times, lol.

If it can’t be fixed without service, would it be worth it after shipping and cost? Assuming they will still service it because of age amd parts availability.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Power off AND unplug every device in your digital chain from the router to the DAC.

Wait at least five minutes.

Plug everything back in.

Power up everything in digital chain starting with the router and working your way to the DAC one piece of kit at a time. (Make sure you wait for each component to fully power up before moving to the next component.)

Sometimes, network devices lose their “digital handshake” somewhere along the signal path and turning off the power to the kit using only their power switches won’t do the trick. It has been my experience that taking these steps precisely as, and in the order, I listed them can reestablish digital communication throughout the signal chain.

Worth a try/good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Unfortunately, I saw somone (maybe you) post that already.

Powered down the modem and hub, left it off for about ten min. The dsj was unplugged from yesterday.

Modem, hub then dsj all a few minutes apart.

10-4. I hope you get it sorted.

Did you UNPLUG all of the devices?

Is there any chance that you have a computer involved in the mix? If yes, make sure to reboot that as well.

Good luck.

Did it all again. Left my computer unplugged just in case, as i did not cycle it previous times.

No luck.

I think it’s cooked

In addition to the bridge, I could not get the coax input to work with a bluesound node, and it is working through my oppo.

Also, on the info screen it does say BRDG:None

Not sure if that only reads with information when connected to a lan?

My system had changed alot since I used the oppo as a dac, doesnt sound bad with that and the node 2i. Wish this was a happy comparison.

Guess I will reach out to PS Audio Monday.

Too bad. Good luck.

I think you’re correct in saying it’s the jr. The fact that a different device works as expected, has link, and jr doesn’t, says it all,

I had the same problem with the Bridge not being seen on the Network. It was after I installed windows 11.

I tried most of the things that you have already performed with no luck. But, I then installed the Yale version and then re-installed Sunlight. This fixed the issue with the Bridge not being seen to the network. But, for some reason, MQA is not working anymore which is not a big loss.

So, you could try to install an earlier version of the operating system. Good luck!
